JCAHO Services on Life Safety Program
Our involvement with the Healthcare Industry has led us to the need for an independent consultative program for life safety. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) has a preparation and life safety assessment. Involvement of an independent consultant with qualifications could make the JCAHO process easier by helping the facility recognize all possible concerns in a comprehensive report for action. Some of the services available are:
  • Educational seminars
  • Life and fire safety location audits
  • Completion of the JCAHO Statement of Conditions
  • Completion of the JCAHO Plan for Improvement
  • Mock JCAHO surveys
  • Evaluation of the Environment of Care Series Survey program and documentation
  • Evaluation of existing emergency preparedness/disaster plans and procedures
  • Evaluation of fire drill plans and procedures
  • Assistance in the development of interim life safety measures
  • Assistance in the development of performance improvement standards
  • Assistance in addressing life safety code equivalencies
  • Development of a list of commonly asked JCAHO interview questions
  • Review operating room and laser safety procedures and programs
